Charles Warren James


Charles Warren James, of Florida, formerly of Marion, passed away Friday, August 13, 2010 at Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne, Florida. Charles was born in Marion to the late Harold and Olga (Tuttle) James on July 3, 1941. He married Paula Harris in Marion on July 29, 1960.
Charles was a United States Army Veteran, and he retired from General Motors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and also spent much of his time on the computer working on family genealogy.
Charles is survived by his wife Paula James of Florida; son, Douglas (Pam) James of Dayton, Ohio; daughter, Nancy (Joe) Krzyminski of Toledo, Ohio; 8 grandchildren, Chirstina, Kacey, Nickolas, and Tyler James, and Kari Santus Tabb, Elizabeth Santus Williams, Brittany Santus, and Kyle Santus; one sister, Barbara Knotts of Marion; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by six brothers, and one sister.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, August 19, 2010 at 11 AM at Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Grand Prairie Cemetery in Brush Ridge. Friends and loved ones may visit with the family on Thursday from 10-11 AM. Pastor Dwight Hord will officiate the service.
