Mabel M. Gantt
Mabel M. Gantt, age 69, of Caledonia, Ohio passed away on Monday, January 23, 2012, at 1:15 a.m. in the Marion General Hospital. She was born in Marion, Ohio on January 22, 1943 to the late Joseph M. and Martha A. (Nutter) Holt. Mabel is survived by her husband, Paul E. Gantt, whom she married on July 7, 1989. She was a member of the Claridon United Methodist Church and worked for many years with the Whirlpool Corp., Sycon Corp., & The Continental Hose Co. before retiring. The lifetime Marion area resident is survived by 3 sons: Scott (Kara) Lane of Upper Sandusky, Oh., Conan (Kristian) Lane of Princeton Junction, N.J., and Brent Lane of Marion, Oh., 1 stepson; Paul (Michelle) Gantt Jr. of East Liberty, Oh., 4 step daughters; Brenda Eiseman of Alexandria, Va., Jan (Mike) Perry of Delaware, Oh., Jill (Tom) Moore of Marion, Oh., and Jill Gantt of Sandusky, Oh., 2 brothers; Harold (Jan) Holt of Marion, Oh. and Don Ray Holt of Marion, Oh., 2 sisters; Nancy (Sterling) Edler of Marion, Oh.,and Linda (David) Sisson of Marion, Oh., 16 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild. Mabel was preceded in death by 3 brothers; George, Nolan, & Bobby Holt. Friends may call at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 25, 2012, from 5-8 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the Claridon United Methodist Church on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. John Grimm presiding. Burial will follow in the Grand Prairie Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
