Robert Clair McMillin
Robert Clair McMillin, age 89, of the Partners of Marion passed away in his residence on Friday, July 23, 2010, at 9:43 p.m. He was born in Ewington, Ohio on October 26, 1920 to the late Carl and Lillie Belle Sprouse McMillin. On October 10, 1947 in Marion he married Lillie M. Foley Jacks and she preceded him in death on November 26, 1999. Robert served in the U.S.Army during WWII and retired from the Marion Power Shovel Co. after 33 years of service with that company. He is survived by 2 sons; Richard Jacks and Virgil (Shelly) Jacks both of Marion, a daughter; Worletta D. Eckard of Marion, a sister; Mary Ruth Long of Waldo, Oh., 12 grandchildren, and numerous great & great great grandchildren. Along with his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son; Robert L. McMillin, 3 brothers; Homer, Richard, and Dale McMillin, and 2 sisters; Pauline Wesley & Crystal McMillin. Friends may call at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 27, 2010, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday with burial to follow in the Larue Cemetery. Pastor Joseph Rhea will conduct the service and military rites will be given by the Marion Co. Veterans Council.
